Hello everyone. I and several others are working on bringing CCP to the US West Coast for a Major EVE event. Think Fanfest for the US (well not quite as cool, but we aim for that). We are still working out all logistics and don't have much in stone yet. But we want your opinions and your feedback!
To read our official first post about the event(will get its own website once we finalize things) please visit this link (http://www.tweveit.com/2009/evecon-portland-2010.html)
We hope to hear from you soon!

Originally by: LaVista Vista Why? We already have EVE Vegas.
Well for one, EVE Vegas was last year. We are planning to make this a yearly event. Also, EVE Vegas was 100$ to get in, we are shooting to make this affordable and charge only 25-30$ to get in. Plus Portland is awesome! :P --- Keldar Anassi Founder Tweveit.com

Originally by: Jason Marshall CCP already hits the west coast atleast once a year. They threw an awesome party at PAX.
Well, this will be another option, and a completely EVE focused event(unlike PAX or the other conventions CCP might attend). --- Keldar Anassi Founder Tweveit.com

Originally by: Discrodia TBH, It's a far longer plane ride to the West Coast from the East Coast than it is to Iceland...
Plus I'll still hafta be 18 and by then I'll want the real deal not some spin-off.
For you that may be true, But for many of us who live Mid US, or West Coast US the trip to iceland is nearly impossible to afford in this economy. also, it may be a longer plane ride, but since its a domestic flight its cheaper than the international flight to iceland(in most cases).
This is a perfectly good option for anyone in the US or in the Pacific that cant make the trip half way around the world to Iceland.
